LA PAZ COUNTY ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT POLLWORKERS: To be a pollworker you must be a registered voter in La Paz County . You will be required to work a very long day, usually from 5:30 a.m. to possibly until 8:00 p.m. You will not be allowed to leave the polling facility during that time, however, you will have breaks for lunch, etc. Most of our polling facilities have kitchen areas, you can bring food for yourself although the County supplies lunch.
As a pollworker, you will be required to attend a training class prior to the election. The class lasts approximately three to four hours and you will receive a procedures manual to take home with you.
We pay our pollworkers for their service: $15 to attend training class; $100 for Election Day, for a total of $115. Inspectors will receive $125 for Election Day, for a total of $140.

COUNTING CENTER WORKERS To be a Counting Center Worker, you must be a registered voter in La Paz County . On election night, beginning at 7:00 p.m. , you will serve on one of several boards in order to process ballots at the Counting Center , with the location being the Board of Supervisors meeting room. You will work until approximately midnight for a county wide election and approximately 10:00 p.m. for a small, jurisdictional election. You will be required to attend a training class prior to the election. The class lasts approximately 2 hours and you will receive a procedures manual to take home with you. We pay our Counting Center workers for their service: $15 to attend training class; $45 for Election Night, for a total of $60.
