The purpose of the La Paz County Community Development Department is to improve the quality of life for county residents by protecting, preserving, and enhancing both the natural and built environment; encouraging sustainable growth; and enhance the professionalism and performance of the department.
GOALS
The goals will be accomplished by:
- Utilizing a pre-interview conference on development projects
- Promote informed, documented and sound decision making concerning land use issues
- Support the Development Review Team (DRT)
- Invest in staff development by utilizing the state-of-the-art training and techniques in land use and planning/zoning
- Work closely with other county departments to promote a more comprehensive approach toward growth and development issues
- Provide customers with a package of information (that includes the specific permit process, application requirements and checklist) and
- Provide excellence customer service
