The Recorder’s Office is responsible for recording and maintaining all documents presented for public record. Documents recorded include real property transactions, mortgages, family trusts, tax liens, mining notices, survey maps, military discharge and many more. All records are preserved on microfilm according to archival standards. Images of recorded documents from 1983 to present are available to view and print online . We also have a workstation available for public use in the office. We accept documents for recording by mail, in-person, and electronic recordings by a trusted submitter.
In addition to recording documents, the Recorder’s Office also maintains the voter registration rolls for the county and handles Early Voting/ Ballot-by-Mail.
We are a service oriented office and take pride in serving the people of La Paz County.
